Product, removal, prep, trim and labor on one itemized quote. Approved before anything is ordered.

Four floors built for wet boots and big dogs
Pierce County households have more square footage, more dogs and more basements than Seattle, and the floors that work here reflect it.
Vinyl plankRigid-core vinyl plank
Waterproof through the plank, scratch resistant at a 20-mil wear layer, quiet with the right pad. The default for kitchens, entries, basements and any house with a dog.
LaminateAC4 wood-look laminate
The most realistic wood look for the money and the hardest surface against furniture and grit. Living rooms, halls and bedrooms.
Dark & wideWide-plank dark tones
Walnut and smoked-oak visuals in seven- to nine-inch planks for North End Craftsmans and open-plan remodels, in laminate or vinyl.
HerringboneHerringbone and feature rooms
Patterned laminate and vinyl for entries and dining rooms, with matching stair nosings and transitions.
Six things we do, and the care in each
A floor is only as good as the subfloor, the underlayment and the gaps around its edges. Each service below is priced on the quote and done to the manufacturer's spec, because that is what the warranty requires.

Laminate flooring
Wood-look laminate from AC4 up, floated over the right underlayment with the gaps and transitions the warranty requires.

Floors ruined by a leak? The claim part is handled.
Pierce County's cold snaps split pipes in crawl spaces and garages every winter, and dishwashers and water heaters do the rest. Once the house is dry, the installer scopes the flooring in the format your adjuster uses and installs when the subfloor reads dry.
- Flooring scope written in Xactimate line items your carrier recognizes
- Matching documented when the damaged floor runs into other rooms
- Subfloor moisture checked before install, so the new floor is not laid over a wet one
- Like-kind replacement on the claim, upgrades priced separately

Call Me Right NowQuestions homeowners ask before they book
Is the in-home estimate really free?
Yes. The installer measures, checks the subfloor, helps you choose a product and sends an itemized written quote at no charge and with no obligation. A materials deposit is normal once you approve, and the amount is on the quote.
Which is better for a house with dogs, laminate or vinyl plank?
Vinyl plank with a 20-mil wear layer. Claws do not scratch it the way they scratch hardwood and lighter laminate, accidents wipe up, and a damaged plank can be swapped. AC5 laminate is the alternative if you prefer the look and the dog is not a Great Dane.
Can you install over my existing floor?
Sometimes. Floating floors can go over well-adhered vinyl, tile and some hardwood if the surface is flat and the added height works at doors and appliances. Carpet always comes out. The installer checks at the measure and prices removal only where it is needed.
How long does installation take?
A living room, hall and kitchen is usually one day, two with bedrooms. Whole houses are staged over three to five days. Stairs add a day. Acclimation adds about 48 hours before install begins.
Do you handle rentals and turnovers?
Yes, and a lot of them: Tacoma, Lakewood and Parkland have a large rental market. Per-unit pricing is set up front, the same product goes in every unit, attic stock is kept for repairs, and installs are scheduled between tenants.
Who actually does the work?
An independent, Washington-registered flooring contractor serving Pierce County. Tacoma Flooring Installers is a service of Help Me Now Inc that takes your request, schedules the measure and makes sure you are taken care of. You get the installer's name and L&I number before they arrive, and your contract is with them.
